Firefighters visit schools and day care facilities within the Clark County service area to teach children about fire safety. Presentations target specific age groups. All age groups are taught the dangers of playing with fire, what to do in case of a fire, and the importance of smoke detectors.

The presentation for younger children focuses on teaching them that firefighters are their friends, not to play with matches and lighters, and how to safely exit the home in case of fire. Children explore a fire engine and try on a bunker (firefighting) gear.

To schedule a presentation, download and fill out the Community Service Request form. Fax the form to 734-6111 Attn: Laurie Busch. For more information, call (702) 455-7165 or e-mail Laurie Busch.

The Community Service Request Form is available in PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the form. If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download a free version of the program from the Adobe website.
